Johanna Warren
Johanna Warren is a singer-songwriter and producer whose shape-shifting body of work moves between intimate folk songwriting, psychedelic experimentation, and the deeply personal.
Across her music, Warren explores the tangled relationships between desire, identity, the body, and the natural world. Her arrangements are as unpredictable as her storytelling, weaving together lush instrumentation, found sounds, field recordings, and stark vocal performances.
After stepping away from music in 2023, Warren found renewed creative freedom through a period of introspection, healing, and reconnection with the natural world and her community in rural Wales.

Frog in the Belly of a Snake
New Album — January 29, 2027
There are hungers that keep us alive, and hungers that consume us.
Across fourteen tracks, Johanna Warren's Frog in the Belly of a Snake explores the unruly terrain of human desire: hunger for love, freedom, connection, and release. Both cosmic and profane, furious and funny, the album moves through psychedelic arrangements, found sounds, and intimate performances toward a deeper understanding of surrender and interconnectedness.
Rooted in recordings made live to tape at Big Jelly Studios in Ramsgate, UK, and completed between Wales and Soul Selects Studio in New Jersey, the record marks Warren's return to music after a period of profound personal transformation.
The result is not simply an account of recovery, but a prayer for collective regeneration—a celebration of mystery, impermanence, and the possibility of beginning again.
