About the Band

Scott Anthony’s first single on Soul Selects (“I Don’t Like New Songs”) is also his first time singing on a record, but he is no stranger to the studio.

Scott is a veteran of the New York recording scene, producing, engineering, and mastering music for over 40 years (working with The Feelies, Chris Harford, The Cucumbers, Bob Perry, his wife Rebecca Turner, Laura Cantrell, Maya Beiser, Speed The Plough, Unicorn, Richard Thompson, Allen Ginsburg, Alex Chilton and hundreds more). He’s been working on releases for Soul Selects since 2020, and has been helping them build a studio in Hopewell, NJ.

He’s also an active bassist, recording and performing with John Pinamonti, Fond Farewells, Hush Up, and Rebecca.

A devoted peace artist and activist, his installation “An Experience of Monism based on ‘Within You Without You'” was a finalist design for the upcoming George Harrison Woodland Walk, a memorial nature preserve being created by the City of Liverpool and the Estate of George Harrison.

Expect more music from Scott in 2024.
